ELECTRIC VEHICLE INFRASTRUCTURE

DONOVAN ENERGY + COMMERCIAL EVSE CHARGING STATIONS

As the electric vehicle (EV) revolution continues to gain momentum nationwide, the installation of electric vehicle supply equipment – or EVSE – to charge all of these new vehicles is also growing at businesses, multi-unit dwellings, and other commercial venues. Providing access to EV charging stations has been shown to attract building tenants and buyers, improves talent recruitment, and increases employee retention - all of which are essential to keeping up with an increasingly environmentally-aware population. If desired, you can also increase your business’ earning potential through electric vehicle charging fees.

WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED ON YOUR JOURNEY TO SUPPORT ENERGY CONSERVATION AND CARBON EMISSIONS REDUCTION.

Donovan Energy brings deep industry knowledge of EV charging and was one of the first companies in the Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana region to implement commercial EVSE solutions. With our large portfolio of experience installing both networked and non-networked charging stations - and a meticulous qualifying process to do so - we can identify and implement solutions that are tailored to your project using either a turnkey or material-only approach. Our project management process ensures that clients are satisfied with the cost and quality of our work.

WHAT ARE THE INCENTIVES FOR BUYING ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGERS?

In North America, there are some pretty hefty commercial EVSE rebates and incentives. Find your state on EVBox's website to see what rebates you can claim.

COMMON QUESTIONS...
Man interacting with commercial EVSE

WHERE CAN
I CHARGE MY ELECTRIC VEHICLE?

At home in a private garage / drive way, or at a designated parking spot or shared parking facility.

At work at your office building’s parking facility, either reserved or (semi)public.

In public along streets, on the highway, and at any public parking facility you can think of – e.g. shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, hospitals etc.

HOW LONG
DOES CHARGING TAKE?

Well, it depends upon a few different factors: the specifications of the charging unit, the specifications of the car being charged, the amount of charge left in the battery, even the weather!

In-car features such as music players and lights have a very limited impact on the power consumption/range. The weight of the luggage and the number of people your car is carrying however, have an impact on the range. Heating/air conditioning also has a considerable impact on the range, up to 50%.

WHAT DOES
CHARGING
COST?

This depends on where you live and how much you pay for electricity, your car's charging capacity, and the commercial EVSE you're using. Using a simple formula, you can ballpark your average charging costs and get a better idea.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Our EVSE installation process includes four fundamental and sequential steps:

1. Understand the scope of the project and the key customer objectives:

Your business has unique needs and priorities for energy consumption. We’ll start with a site visit and an electric system audit, then use this information to determine available power capacity and installation feasibility. Our team will also determine any current or future constraints.

2. Conduct a site assessment and develop recommendations:

After the feasibility and power review is complete, we’ll develop a customized recommendation for the optimal number and location of charging units, alongside other considerations such as

lighting. Financing options, grants, and other incentives that can offset project costs will also be included.

3. Deliver, install and activate units:

Once the solutions and financing are set, we’ll handle your entire end-to-end project delivery and installation process.

4. Coordinate software functionality and implementation:

We’ll support your team with marketing materials that highlight your project(s) and how they’ve impacted your business, employees, and the community you serve. We’ll also provide team training on the use of your new EV software and system management.
