In partnership with our team, vendors, clients and the community, I am inspired and committed to continue Cincinnati's transformation into one of the cleanest, most vibrant and resilient cities in the country.
As the head of Donovan Energy’s consulting practice, Nachy Kanfer sees energy as a strategic asset, not an invisible cost. He works with clients to align their energy choices with their growth strategies, all while reducing exposure and risk. Nachy also leads Donovan’s electricity procurement business, helping customers in deregulated jurisdictions become more competitive by securing favorable terms and rates for their energy usage. He advises private sector clients on attaining their corporate sustainability goals, and supports non-profit clients with surgical policy interventions and strategic campaign plans. Nachy believes energy efficiency and clean energy will realign the U.S. economy, especially in the Midwest, and unlock a new era of economic resiliency and strength.
He previously served as the Eastern Regional Director for Sierra Club's Beyond Coal Campaign, where he worked with a wide range of stakeholders to grow the renewable energy market by gigawatts at a time. He brings expertise in navigating wholesale energy markets and is skilled at developing and implementing regulatory and government affairs strategies. Prior to his 11 years at Sierra Club Nachy worked for several different environmental organizations in the Middle East.
Nachy earned a B.A. from Yale University and a MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. He sits on the Cincinnati Yale Club board and is active within the Yale Alumni Schools Committee.
