Commercial PACE Financing Leader

The Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing leader is a Senior level role responsible for increasing the company’s C-PACE financing transactions.  A key component of success will be building and maintaining relationships throughout the commercial real estate community, including building owners and developers.  

Applicants must have knowledge of the commercial real estate (CRE) financing market and existing relationships with building owners and developers.

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Advisory Services


  • Independent ability to source, qualify and engage commercial property managers/owners who have ability to leverage the benefits of C-PACE with retrofit and new construction projects.

  • Build a robust pipeline through direct sales, leveraging existing networks, building & managing channel partner relationships, and attending industry and trade association events.

  • Oversee due diligence and a timely deal close process for complex financing transactions.

  • Execute on marketing and personal/business development initiatives, including participation in industry/public forums as a senior representative of the firm.

  • Build relationships with regulators, industry groups and market stakeholders to become an expert on C-PACE and industry trends.

  • Partner with executive team to develop and implement strategic plans.

  • Ensure the CRM database contains accurate, up-to-date information on clients & projects

  • Deliver on agreed-upon monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

  • Present information regarding existing & prospective clients at internal staff & partner meetings.

  • Work to improve the effectiveness and productivity of Donovan Energy’s C-PACE product offer.



  • Education: 

    • College degree required, Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.  Finance concentration a plus

  • Experience:

    • Proven record of successful commercial banking/project finance/Intermediary experience.  

    • Deep relationships with commercial building owners, developers, commercial mortgage industry participants and providers of senior debt preferred.


  • Detailed knowledge of Donovan Energy’s (and competitors’) C-PACE products & services

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills with strong persuasive abilities.

  • Perseverance with reluctant or frustrated clients; ability to think creatively to “unstick” slow deals in the pipeline, as necessary.

  • Awareness of and experience with successful sales practices and methods.

  • Practical knowledge of cloud collaboration tools (i.e., Gmail, Google Drive, etc.) and the Microsoft Office product suite.

  • Practical knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software.

  • Solid motivational, organizational and leadership skills.

  • Driven to support customers, vendors and partners;
